These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Shift, a daily word puzzle game for iOS developed by Solari Games LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Shift, you agree to these Terms.
By using Shift, you confirm that you can form a binding contract with us and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Shift is a daily word puzzle game where you change one letter at a time to travel from a starting word to a target word. Shift includes an archive of past puzzles, an account system, cosmetic customization, a stamp collection system, and optional purchases described below.
You may use Shift as a guest, or create an account using an email address, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Guest progress is stored locally on your device only and is not recoverable if you lose or reset your device unless you sign in to a real account first.
Shift offers the following purchases through the Apple App Store, processed via Apple and RevenueCat:
Shift does not currently offer any auto-renewing subscriptions. All purchases are one-time transactions, either consumable or non-consumable, made through your Apple ID.
All purchases are billed and processed by Apple. Refunds are handled entirely by Apple according to their own policies; we do not process payments or refunds directly and cannot override Apple's decisions. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" feature or contact Apple Support.
Prices are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase and may change at any time; changes do not affect purchases you've already made.

Shift, its puzzles, word lists, design, branding, and all related content are owned by Solari Games LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Shift for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Shift uses third-party services, including Firebase (Google), RevenueCat, Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In, to provide account, database, analytics, crash reporting, and purchase functionality. Your use of these services through Shift is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data these services process.
Shift is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Shift will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solari Games LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Shift, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Shift will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Shift at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Shift and delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Privacy Settings → Delete My Account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your place of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use Shift after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
